Kathleen Gardiner
Kathleen Gardiner holds the position of second and E-flat clarinet in the Buffalo
Philharmonic and Grant Park Symphony Orchestras. She is also a member of the faculty at
Fredonia State College, and is an active soloist, chamber musician, and clinician.
She has been a member of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, the Binghamton Symphony
Orchestra, and participated in the National Orchestral Project at Carnegie Hall. Ms.
Gardiner was the winner of the 1994 International Clarinet Association Young Artists
Competition, and in July 1998 she was a featured artist at the International Clarinet
Association ClarinetFest. She holds degrees from The Ohio State University and the
Eastman School of Music, where she studied with James Pyne, Kenneth Grant, and Peter
Hadcock. Kathleen performs on a Pyne Signature Nsk
mouthpiece with a Pyne 1+ barrel, and a Pyne P+ Eb clarinet mouthpiece.
